Show Notes

Welcome!! In this inaugural episode I had the pleasure of talking with my friend, Parris Hodges.  Parris is a mother, an athlete, an artist, and she is training to become a doula.   She is a multifaceted beautiful human being, and I was so excited to have her on as my first guest. In this episode, she shares her journey of remembering her voice and what that has meant to her.  We dive into her 16-year journey through her eating disorder, her realization of how she stifled her own voice through speaking up for the collective, her years as a high school and college athlete and how she learned that we can’t help to break the systems that aren’t working until we have broken down and rearranged those systems inside of ourselves.  We also talk about how finding safety inside of herself has helped her to continue to show up and speak her authentic truth, and how we must remember that none of us are “broken,” and it is our own birthright to honor and remember who we are.
